When you arrive at Istanbul port, your private guide will be waiting for you with a sign bearing your name. The tour will start with a visit to the Golden Horn, which offers stunning views of the city's Christian landmarks. One of these is the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople, a former Orthodox church that was once one of fourteen autocephalous churches in the communion of Orthodox Christianity. The tour of the Orthodox world will then continue with a visit to the Bulgarian Iron Church in Balat, which was built in 1898 and transported to Istanbul by rail. After that, we will explore the wooden buildings at the base of the city's ancient ramparts, where people of three different religions used to live together in harmony. Along the way, you'll have plenty of opportunities to take photos of the Walls of Constantinople, the Golden Gate, and the Yedikule Fortress. We'll also visit the Little Hagia Sophia, an Eastern Orthodox church that may have served as a model for the famous Hagia Sophia. Then we will head to Galata Tower, built in the 14th century by the Genoese. It's a medieval stone tower that offers breath-taking views of the Old City, Golden Horn, Bosphorus, and the Sea of Marmara. Finally, we'll take a short walk up Istiklal Avenue to the Saint Antoine Catholic Church, a stunning Catholic church that was built in 1912 and is considered one of the most beautiful in Istanbul. Return to the port. End of our services.
