Day 1 :Ancient Hippodrome – Blue Mosque – St. Sophia – Topkapi palace – Grand Bazaar

 

Your private guide will meet you at the port, holding a sign with your name on it. Our first stop is the Hippodrome Square, which dates back to Roman and Byzantine times and used to host chariot races and political riots. We will take a short walk to the stunning Blue Mosque, which is renowned for its beautiful blue Iznik tiles.Then, you'll visit Hagia Sophia, one of the finest and largest architectural works of art in the world and a magnificent Byzantine Church.

 

From there, we will continue to the magnificent Topkapi Palace, which was not only the home of Ottoman sultans but also served as the administrative and educational center of the state. Built between 1460 and 1478 by Sultan Mehmed II, the conqueror of Constantinople, this palace is a true marvel of architecture and design. During our visit, we will explore the palace and also take a closer look at the weapons section.

The last stop on the tour is the Grand Bazaar, an historic bazaar with a rich collection of precious handmade carpets, jewellery, leather, and souvenirs that will tempt even non-shoppers.

Day 2 : Underground Cistern – Suleymaniye Mosque – Spice Market – Golden Horn

You will meet with your guide at Istanbul Port and drive to Underground Cistern, it’s a historical underground water reservoir that dates back to the 6th century. It boasts impressive columns, arches, and statues, and creates an eerie atmosphere.Then we will have free time in the Spice Bazaar or the Egyptian Bazaar, is another must-visit destination for food lovers and shoppers. You can find a diverse array of spices, teas, and Turkish delights here. After then, we will discover the Suleymaniye Mosque is one of Istanbul's grandest and most stunning mosques, with a remarkable interior and beautiful courtyard. It was commissioned by Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent and designed by the legendary architect Sinan. At the end, we will drive back to the port by the famous Golden Horn. End of our services.

  • Please note that Topkapi Palace is closed on Tuesdays. In this case, the underground cistern will be substituted instead.
  • The Grand Bazaar is closed on Sundays and during the Ramadan Holiday (3 days) and Sacrifice Holidays (4 days). On Sundays, the Spice Market will be substituted.
  • The Blue Mosque is closed until 14:30 on Fridays. During this time, your tour guide will provide brief information in the garden of the Blue Mosque.
  • If you wish to visit the Harem Section, which is located in Topkapi Palace, it can be added to the itinerary with an extra entrance fee. Please note that this will extend the tour duration by approximately 30 minutes.
  • Please note that there is a dress code for both St. Sophia and the Blue Mosque. You are required to cover your knees and shoulders to enter places of worship such as churches, monasteries, mosques, synagogues, and selected museums. Shoes are also not to be worn in mosques. Failure to comply with these dress requirements may result in refused entry.
