Upon arrival at Bodrum port your private guide will be waiting for you with a personalized sign. Then you will be accompanied to Bodrum Centrium. There, you will visit Bodrum Castle, also known as the Castle of St. John, which stands atop a rocky peninsula at the location of the original Carian settlement. St. Peter's Castle, situated in the harbor, boasts five impressive towers and seven gates, and is home to the Bodrum Museum of Underwater Archaeology, where you will have the opportunity to explore fascinating exhibits such as the dungeon, secret museum in the Snake Tower, German, English, and French towers, as well as a hall featuring ancient coins and jewelry.
Your next destination will be the Mausoleum, which was constructed by Artemisia, the wife and sister of King Mausolos, in 355 BC. Although the mausoleum was destroyed in an earthquake, its ruins were repurposed in the construction of Halicarnassus Castle.
Then we will visit the Myndos Gate, one of the two entrances to ancient Halicarnassus which is the only surviving gate built by King Mausolos in the 4’th century.
Next stop will be the Ancient Theater of Halicarnassos, dated back to the 4th century BC with 5.000 capacity. Afterwards you drive back to port of Bodrum.
